Château Curton la Perrière Wines

Château Curton la Perrière is a renowned winery located in the Bordeaux wine region of France. The estate is situated in the small town of Daignac, in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, and produces a range of high-quality red and white wines.

The history of the estate dates back to the 16th century when it was owned by the wealthy de Curton family. In the 18th century, the property was purchased by the Ducluzeau family, who developed the vineyards and built the Château. Today, the estate is owned by the Kressmann family, who have been involved in the Bordeaux wine trade for over a century.

The vineyards at Château Curton la Perrière cover 50 hectares of land, with a variety of soil types that are ideal for grape growing. The estate primarily grows Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc for their red wines, while Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Muscadelle are grown for their white wines.

The winery uses a combination of traditional and modern winemaking techniques to produce wines that are elegant, complex, and reflective of the terroir. The red wines are aged in oak barrels for 12-18 months, while the white wines are aged on their lees to give them a rich and creamy texture.

Château Curton la Perrière produces several different wines, including their flagship red wine, Château Curton la Perrière, which is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is known for its dark fruit flavours, smooth tannins, and long finish. They also produce a second red wine, called Château de la Perrière, which is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.

Château Curton la Perrière has received numerous awards and accolades for their wines over the years. The winery is open for tours and tastings, giving visitors the opportunity to sample their wines and learn about the winemaking process.
