Email Marketing
WineFolk.co.uk does not undertake email marketing without the customers consent. We will not share details with any third party for marketing activity. We respect our customers’ privacy and therefore personal information is only shared with essential organisations. These include our supplier, delivery company, developer and accountancy firm. Limited information, such as your name and email address, is also automatically shared with Reviews.co.uk when you make a purchase. WineFolk.co.uk does not host or hold any payment information. Payment information is captured and processed via our payment gateway suppliers, Stripe and PayPal. By accepting our terms and conditions you are consenting to your information being securely stored and shared with our supplier, delivery company, accountancy firm and Reviews.co.uk. WineFolk.co.uk is encrypted to keep your information safe and secure. Emails originating from WineFolk.co.uk are also encrypted.
GDPR Compliance
On 1st January 2022 we appointed a data protection officer. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will report the breach to the ICO and notify the individuals concerned within 72 hours.
The data we are processing:
Customer’s; purchase history, name, billing address, shipping address, telephone number(s), email address and delivery note information.
How we are processing customers data:
Customer data is stored on server provided by our web-host provider. Customers information is emailed to our supplier, delivery company, developer and accountancy firm. Information is sent using SSL secured email. Limited customer information is also automatically shared with reviews.co.uk when you make a purchase. This is achieved via plugin integration.
The purposes for processing customers data:
Customer data is processed in order to fulfil the service advertised and for marketing activity (whereby the customer has opted in to receive marketing material).
How customers can request deletion of data:

Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
